 The Helmholtz Graduate School for Hadron and Ion Research "HGS-HIRe for FAIR" is a joint endeavor of the GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung, Darmstadt, the universities at Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Giessen, Heidelberg and Mainz together with FIAS to promote and support structured PhD education for research associated with GSI and FAIR.

The "Physique des deux infinis" is a joint venture of CNRS, CEA, the universities Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6), Paris Diderot (Paris 7), Paris-Sud (Paris 11), the École Polytechnique and the Observatoire de Paris

 

 

 

 

Annecy (pronounced /an.si/), host city of the conference,  is a french city of the Rhône-Alpes region located in North Préalpes between the Bornes and the Bauges mountains on the lake of Annecy. Annecy is the Prefecture of the Haute-Savoie department and is an industrial and touristic center. The population of Annecy counts about 51 000 inhabitants intra-muros and about 190 000 inhabitants including suburbs. Annecy is the 6th largest city in the Rhônes-Alpes region. Various nicknames of Annecy are the Venice of the Alpes, the jewel of Savoie or the Rome of the Alpes.

The Communauté des Communes de l'Agglomération d'Annecy is an administrative entity regrouping 13 townships in the vicinity of Annecy. 

 

The proceedings will be published in a special issue of Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics. The journal publishes theoretical and experimental research into nuclear physics, particle physics and particle astrophysics, including all interface areas between these fields.
